Friday Again..

I am about to go out for friday prayer. Come accross this Hadith which is related to friday. Just think that it might be useful for others too..decide to post it here..

Narrated by Abu huraira, the Prophet (PBUH) said,

“When it is a Friday the angels stand at the gate of the mosque and keep on writing the names of the persons coming to the mosque is succession according to their arrivals. The example of the one who enters the mosque at the earliest hour is that of one offering a camel… (in sacrifice). The one coming next is like one offering a cow and then a ram and then a chicken and then an egg respectively. When the imam cones out (for jumma prayer), they (i.e. angels) fold their papers and listen to the Khutbah. [Bukhari, Bk 13, 31:51]

If it is our habit to arrive late for Friday prayer, we have to change it NOW…Some of us, intentionally late to attend the friday prayer. There are tons of reasons could be created when the nafs take control the akl. For some, they decide to attend the prayer alone just because they felt that it is a long wait to sit and listen to Khutbah. Do Friday Prayer valid without listening to Khutbah?

Anyway, today’s Khutbah is about tolerance. Tolerance is actually the identity that contradict to what was portrayed by the West that Muslim are all Extremist and Terrorist. Islam itself is a Deen of tolerance…( tiada paksaan dalam Islam)

Tolerance is an Islamic virtue that a Muslim suppose to have in their identity. Al Quran and Al Hadith clearly state this.A Muslim must have tolerance in their relationship to their parents, friends, community etc.
