Man is in loss…

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

  1. By Al-Asr (the time).
  2. Verily! Man is in loss,
  3. Except those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, and recommend one another to the truth (i.e. order one another to perform all kinds of good deeds (Al-Ma’roof)which Allah has ordained, and abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds (Al-Munkar)which Allah has forbidden), and recommend one another to patience (for the sufferings, harms, and injuries which one may encounter in Allahs Cause during preaching His religion of Islamic Monotheism or Jihad, etc.).

Allah swears an oath by time because, in the course of time changes and transformation take place. Summer turns to winter, cold weather replaces heat, strength to weakness, victory turns to defeat, a person goes from rags to riches, hardship replaced by ease, sickness are cured.

Time moves and history is a testimonial to this changeability. Today, the Muslim world is weak and divided and subdued by its enemies. Its intellectual life is superficial. It is wracked with despair and hopelessness. This can be remedied if the Muslims know how to make use of the time wisely by becoming more forward thinking and works together towards constructive change.

Everybody know that every minutes wasted could never be retrieved. We cannot go back to do things that we really hope we did it well…or at least better if i can say.

What had time ‘CHANGED’ us? Let us ask ourselves, in this lifetime how much time we had wasted and how much we had used it to the fullest?

It’s time to Muhasabah!
